Fabulous Friesian rises to challenge

We’ve been excited to work with Fraithwen Friesians to assist Fraithwen Wytske on her journey.

A couple of weeks ago Fraithwen Friesians Wytske and Gracie Catling were lucky to be part of the Stephen Clarke demonstration hosted by Central Dressage. It was such a good experience for us and Wytske handled herself so well in front of lots of people.

Carreg Dressage has had a longstanding relationship with Ian and Gaynor and their superb Friesian Horse Stud, we have seen the Fraithwen Stud grow from strength to strength due to  their hard work and commitment.

We were therefore delighted to have the opportunity to work with their very talented Advanced Medium Dressage mare Fraithwen Wytske recently. Gaynor and Ian wanted to prepare Wytske for high level competition dressage to in order to showcase the ability of the Friesian Sports Horse. The perfect opportunity arose when Gracie Catling, a British team young rider, took an interest in competing Wytske. Gracie has experience of the breed as she is already competing her mothers Friesian gelding at PSG level.

Wytske came to Carreg Dressage to be prepared for Gracie to try Wytske and we are happy to say that all went perfectly to plan. Wytske is now being competed in England and already commanding very repectable scores.
